These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the ShortsSync website (shortssyncer.com), the ShortsSync Chrome extension, and the accompanying video processing API services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Service description.

ShortsSync is an automation pipeline. Our services download designated YouTube video clips (Shorts), transcode and resize them to a vertical 9:16 layout using FFmpeg, and publish them to your authorized Instagram and Facebook accounts as Reels. We do not host your video files permanently; all video files are deleted immediately after the upload process concludes.

2. Acceptable use and account safety.

You agree to use ShortsSync only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use our services to download and re-post copyrighted content that you do not own or have permission to reuse.
  • Violate the terms of service of YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or any other linked platform.
  • Use the service to spread spam, abuse, harassment, or illegal material.
  • Share or redistribute Pro license keys.

3. YouTube and Instagram terms compliance.

By using ShortsSync, you acknowledge the following platform constraints:

  • YouTube ToS: Downloading videos from YouTube may violate YouTube’s Terms of Service if you do not own the content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you own or have licensing rights to any URL you input.
  • Instagram/Meta ToS: The private API (Path B) utilizes unofficial communication protocols. While convenient for personal automation MVPs, using unofficial APIs violates Instagram’s Terms of Service and carries risks of temporary rate limits or account challenges. You use this path at your own risk.

4. Subscriptions and payments.

ShortsSync offers a Free Trial (3 cross-posts/month) and a Creator Pro tier ($7.99/month or $65/year). Billing is processed securely through our merchant of record, LemonSqueezy. You may cancel your subscription at any time; your Pro access remains active until the end of your prepaid billing period.

5. Disclaimer of warranties.

ShortsSync is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that YouTube or Instagram will not modify their layout or APIs in ways that temporarily disrupt our transcoding or posting pipelines.

6. Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShortsSync and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: account suspensions, lost social reach, video claims, or copyright strikes resulting from your use of the platform.
